The proportional relationship between the height and width of a rectangle is referred to as an Aspect Ratio.
- The most common aspect ratios are 4:3 and 16:9.

Aspect Ratio Problems :
Everything looks narrow, elongated and faces are stretched vertically, when you watch a widescreen(16:9) on a regular Tv(4:3).
Same when you watch an old movie which was shot in 4:3 on widescreen, so that the images get stretched horizontally.
